Drilling a pilot hole for a carvers screw is troublesome to get right. Ideally the work should go under the drill press, but size usually won't allow it. Using my bandsaw I make 2 cuts at right angles in a piece of scrap. This gives me a vertical channel to slide my drill along. Job done! |
