Default bowls

Does anyone have any tips on carving bowls?

I would use a side grinder with a chainsaw disc to rough out then switch to a die grinder with a course 2" wood blaster. Same die grinder with the rmp's turned way down sand smooth with a 4" flap sander wheel. In an hour or two tops you would have a nice size bowl ready to oil and finish.

WOOD LATHE....

just feeling silly...please forgive me...must be all this snow

Advice in above post is good stuff...
Any way you can "hog" the waste away is good stuff, final shaping and sanding is the pain....
