Thanks for the compliments guys! I'm sorry I haven't posted any pictures yet, I'm just finishing up work on the two fairies I'm carving, next week I'll be back to Santas full time. I have them bandsawed out, but do to illness (not mine!) and snow days (quality time with the little Grandson), I've not been able to work full time so I'm a little behind where I wanted to be right now. As soon as I get to the beard stage I'll be posting the pictures for you!

And Dave, I agree, Nancy is THE one for beards, her's are so awesome! Maybe when life settles down for her we can talk her into sharing her techniques with us, I sure would love to see a step by step of one of her beards!! Deborah

I was just checking out Mark Gargac's Mountain Man instructions over in the Tutorial's Section. The way he explains it is exactly how I carve my beards so there isn't any real need for me to post pictures.....Nancy however, is a different story, her beards are unique!! Bob D, Jim has a great idea there, that would be one terrific article! Deborah</IMG>

LOL...I've been trying to convince Nancy for quite some time now!!!

Seriously, though...I asked Nancy to contribute an article some time ago...because LOVE the way she carves. And then she posted that wonderful tutorial on how she paints her pieces...and I approached her for an article on that as well.

Right now we're working at Nancy's pace! I'm sure she appreciates the votes of confidance you've given her...and let me assure you that a project will be coming in the future!

By the way, guys...how about PMing me about this from now on??? This really puts me in the hot seat! All decisions about what goes in the magazine are made by our editorial team...not by me! So if you hammer me like this on the message board, I usually can't answer until after the team meets and decides...When you ask like this, and the team decides not to pursue the article...well...not only do I want to have to say that on the open forum, but I also don't want to get someone's hopes up!

Bob
