Default Another Carving Relief work surface.

After spending some time looking at several Relief carving tables I decided on the link model below suggested by Terry Vance 0n another Thread titled, I think, Carving Tables and Strop Compounds. There were a few changes I made but for the most part followed the link directions below. Changes I made were moving the base supports to the underside of the table supports. The link didn't show a necessary 4" piece of wood at the top of the angled working surface supports. This spacer is needed in order for the back supports to line up properly with the angled front supports. I don't think the Darkwoods link directions refer to this fit and "spacer". The wood is Ash for it's toughness. the Relief Jig is big but I plan on doing larger pieces. I haven't used it as yet so I can't speak from any experiences but will report back when I have some. It was an easy job to do. The table I have it mounted to is very heavy so I'm not looking for any movement while working. The working slatted area is 19"X32".

Thanks carvers. So far it is working out just fine. I really like the portability of it. I suspect with most of us room for our toys is precious. With this work surface I can fold it up and put it against the wall until the next time.
