Default Your invited!

I'm going to attend the Heart of Dixie Woodcarving show in Montgomery, Alabama on August 26th. And I'd like to invite everyone who can to come. This is a small show, in only it's second year, and could use all the help that we can give. Besides which this would be a great chance for me to meet all of you in person.

Here's a link with a little more info. http://www.oldalabamatown.com/feature_nes.html#hod

I understand that we all have our own lives to live and that most of you live a long, long way away. But it'd be great if any of you could come.

Dylan

I may try to come on the 26th to the show. Saturdays are hard to get away from my business, but I'll try. It would be great to meet you and others in person.

If it's not possible to make it on Saturday Thor you could come on one of the days of the class. You wouldn't get to see all the carvings but you'd get to sit in on the class for a while. Although there's supposed to be a whittling contest Saturday afternoon. It'd be great to see you if you can make it no which day it's on.

Thanks for the heads up Dylan.

I will have to put this on my calendar - the 19th @ the Funky Chicken w/Thor and the 26th in Montgomery for the show

Works for me.

Dylan;
Well, I won't be able to attend; but assuming you are entering some work, hope you do well and have fun.
Maybe you could wear a mask and cape, and go as the "Alabamer Slammer" and intimidate everyone.
Hmmmm? On second thought, just let your work speak for itself, that ought to work.
Best of luck;
Jim

Dylan ,
Thanks for the invite , been years since I was in Ala. I have been to the first White house there many years ago, and the spot where Jeff Davis took his oath of office. Is that still open to the public? Was thinking if I could make it , I would like to see it again , along with Hank Williams gravesite.

Dylan,
Sounds like fun! Montgomery is exactly 1/2 way between our place in Florida and our place in Tennessee. I'm doing Auctions in Florida the first and 3rd Fridays each month, and Auctions in Tennessee Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week (except the 1st &3rd Friday) for the Amish around our Tennessee home...wholesale produce Auctions!
So I run between TN & FL at least 2x per month, thru Montgomery. plus I'm moving everything to TN so I make extra trips when I can...too much information, hu!
Maybe it'll work out to stop for the day in Montgomery, it'd be fun! Plus, I'd really like to see your carvings and Thor's carvings in person! And meet both of you and all the other carvers!
Wade

I'm looking forward to seeing you'll already. Can't wait for the show now.

Thanks Jim.

As far as the White House Ash, I've no idea. But they have Hank Williams Museum now not to far from where the show is going to be.

Oh and bring your favorite knife the whittling contest is open to everyone.
