Default What would you be doing now?

I have a good question for all of you good folks WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING NOW IF YOU HAD NOT LEARNED AND ENJOYED CARVING? Well, I'm younger than most of you young folks (77), I had a miltary carreer, other vocations and stilled bored, I believe first of all my better half would have got tired of my constant nagging: I would have been severely overwieght from from watching the boob tube: the non stop moaning and groaning, lying by our presidential candidates would have driven me to drinking , so I guess I would have checked with a heart attack by now.

This was a thought that ran threw my mind as I was enjoying my carving projects in the works and enjoying life more and more. Have a great weekend
and be good to yourself as what we have isn't forever.
Oscar

What would we be doing now...... I have always had more hobbies than I could keep up with so though I would have missed out on the best hobby I ever had if I had not learned to carve, I would be doing lots of stained glass, working on my collection of bonsai trees, probably get involved in dog shows again, or raising exotic birds again....custom leather tooling, purses, belts, wallets, wall hangings, album covers again,.......I firmly believe in staying busy with hobbies to keep from doing house work and that is NO joke.

Riding my horse. Driving the wife crazy. Watching the western channel. Creating havoc on some other forum.

I got to go with Lynn, don't have a horse any more, but I would be watching the Western Channel, and Driving the wife crazy seems to be an on going position. But I do look forward to getting up in the morning and carving. Now I'm on a roll, just remembered , its time to start gardening in NB. Grin, just great to be alive.

I would still be restoring Model "A" Fords and missing out on all the fun and creativity woodcarving has to offer.

I would probably be wishing I could learn how to carve!

i picked up carving to fill the creative void left when, because of tragic circumstances,i quit singing and playing in a southern rock and blues band.we performed not only cover songs but i wrote some of our material. this has helped to fill the void, but unless you have ever performed in front of a crowd and gotten instant reactions, you may not know what i mean, but you still deep down i think, crave that i know i still do....
