| | Working on fish for 3 days Not posted in WIP 'cause I'm not carving a fish, I'm cleaning/smoking/canning them!
One of my wife's uncles dropped off a dozen or so sockeye, fresh from the Skeena River. 3-6 pounds, a couple of them still twitching.
My cats are all driving me nuts, yowling for a share... |

Funny people around here. My own smarta** comment when my wife first told me to smoke some fish was "Aren't they soggy and kind of hard to light?"
But now I'm laughing with almost four cases of canned salmon (pints) and a bunch of tlos (smoked salmon jerky).
YUM! |

Never had smoked Salmon, but have had smoked meat from just about every other animal even dog. Best was Sassafrass smoked Goat. Believe it or not. Was at a BBQ/smoke cook off and had the goat, De-lick-able!! |
