Greatest Show on Earth, well almost.
Show was a fantastic success. Larger attendance than the last show. Some real special carvings and people. Excellent weather and a great place to have it at the Benton County Fairgrounds, new complex. Good lighting and easy access. Had a great time and everyone enjoyed themselves. I have posted some of the pictures, when I get more time I will post more and give a list of some of the first place entrys. If you missed this show you really missed out on seeing some excellent carving. Some all the way from Washington state.

Here are more pictures on our show. As you cansee we have some pretty classy pieces of art. I am pleased with the over all show. Picture 2 is the whittling contest and in the background is the woodburning demonstration.

New show dates are September 15 & 16, 2012 at the Benton County Fairgrounds again. Catagories will be the same as last year. Last year everyone had a great time and exceeded visitor count over previous years. Looking forward to another good show. Put it on your callendar now. More information will be posted in the next months including a copy of the announcement and reservation form.

Boy are we excited!!!
This years woodcarving show is going to follow the New War Eagle Seminar September 9 to 14 for the seminar and our show September 15 & 16. Following last years show this one promises to be even better. A great building at the Benton County Fairgrounds, excellent lighting, perfect unloading area, very close parking, just a clean special place to have a seminar and show.
Add to that The Old Texas Woodcarvers Shop for tools and Chan Schwartz for wood, 12 top drawer instructors and you have it better than grandma's biscuits and gravy. .
WOW, I guess I need to cut down a little on my morning coffee.

OK The new brochure for Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas is ready. Cannot attach here like I did last year. If you want a copy email me and I will email you one back. I figured out how to get a Publisher file to email as an attachment.We have a great show going this year. Great building, Steve Brown is the Judge and we have a tool vender and wood vender too.
Best thing is it is the weekend after War Eagle Seminar. There will be more information comming on the Seminar later. I will be teaching doing a European Bee Eater, very colorful bird. If you are interested in a picture email me.

Brochure for 2012 Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas Show is attached below. Hope you all can read it OK and print it out. We have a fine show set up for next year and it is following the War Eagle Seminar with 12 instructors.
One trip to Arkansas and 2 carving rewards.

Lynn Doughty is our feature carver for our woodcarving show in September. This is an opportunity to see his works of art close up along with over 30 others. Or you can join in the competition and show some of your works for money and ribbons.
This years show follows the War Eagle Seminar at The Benton County Fairgrounds.
