Default Woodcarvers Gathering

These are photos of the Woodcarvers Gathering that my place hosts once a month outside Dahlonega, Georgia, USA.
The woman with the green cap on is our own Dusty Buffalo from this message board.
Please notice that there is a copy of an old Woodcarvers Illustrated magazine on the table. I like to share it with others.

Also, the gentleman at the end of the table is Erno. He is a very talented carver who is working on a tankard in walnut that has two modified dragons on it from Susan Irish's dragon book! It will be awesome when it is done. He's the one who gave me the fated cherry ale bowl to work on.....it's still just plain scary!

Anyway, I thought you might enjoy seeing the gathering as it is growing in participation and we sure do have a good time. My face was so sore from laughing at Erno's stories by the end of the day.

I strongly suggest that if you don't have a carving group in your area to start one. That's what I did.
Thor

When getting together with a group of carvers, I don't know which is more fun - carving or listening to all the funny stories!
