| | Woodaholic! Hi my name is Jerry & I'm a woodaholic. If I live to 100 & didn't have to go to work I would never carve all the wood I have, but I keep getting more. I go thru stack of fire wood looking at the grain.
Help me! I know there are others out there.

| | Re: Woodaholic! Hi Jerry, I can help. photos of your wood, listing the type ,size and weight. If I like what I see I wil let you know via email. Then you can send it to me COD to cover the shipping charges. This in turn hopefully will elimiate the burden of having all this wood around and having more carving time.Best,Mark |

| | Re: Woodaholic! Jerri, don't feel bad.How do you think I got the name woodtrapper.I have the appalachan forest in my back yard. Anyway,I have stash spots so the good wood does not became firewood. It is outside the fence line drying. If you do not want to burn something that is worth carving get it out of sight for a while. |

| | Re: Woodaholic! Yes Jerry, there are others out there, and we are just as bad as you are!!! I drag home every "interesting" piece of wood I see, never throw out off cuts, and save every scrap, cause I might be able to use it some day. Now some folks call us "Pack Rats", some "Collector", and as you say, some "Wood-a-holics".
Well , if so...."My name is Bob, and I'm a wood-a-holic!" "AND LOVE IT!!!" |

| | Re: Woodaholic! Jerry, I don't think you're in any real trouble until a half a dozen friends know of your problem. And then only if they start dropping off wood for you. There isn't a week that goes by without a stack of wood appearing on my porch or in my driveway. I get everything from end cuts of poplar, walnut, maple, cedar, to ash hoe handles. Last month 4 cherry stumps were blocking my garage door. I love it! Tom H |
