Default I Won 1st Place

I never entered a carving competition of any type I am usually working out of the country. My sister entered me in this local Ice Carving contest before I got back home. Mind you I never carved ice in my life but I wanted to give it a try. Most of the competitors were food artist and they all knew each other from other contest. If you know my area food is very important to my people. We had 30 minutes to carve in the pro division. My sister told the organizers that I was a master woodcarver so they placed me in the pro division. I won first place for on site carving that made me the overall winner. I will say this I looked at some pictures of the real ice carvers past work it was great. I think my edge was my speed I am very fast with a saw I had enough time to carve two eagles.

Congratulations! That's a nice looking eagle, especially for your first time with ice.
