| | Wildlife Art Magazine Out of Buisness Boy what a shocker!! I just recieved a email from Wildlife Art Mag that it has ceased operations. Don't know why, but that can't be good. Going to check with my POC there and see what happened. Welcome to Sierra Creek Studios |

| | Re: Wildlife Art Magazine Out of Buisness This is not about the mag. but i thought you wildlife people.
On a ride with my lady friend she spotted a hawk on the side of the road it was on a woodchuck. I don't see well so iasked her to turn around so i could see. Well we got pretty close and it didn't fly away, so we were about a mile from my house and I asked her to take me to get my camera. When we got back it was still there and I got some nice pics. I got so close I could have reached out the window and touched it. We had some things to do but came back in an hour or so and both the hawk and chuck were gone. I couldn't beleive it. If you want I can put some pics on, thanks for listening.

| | Re: Wildlife Art Magazine Out of Buisness This is sad news. I did not suscribe; but, did purchase 3-4 issues each year when there were several articles I wanted to read. Or, there were a number of painting photos I wanted to keep for reference on color. This magazine and a cup of coffee made my stop in Barnes and Noble much more enjoyable.
Maybe, if more of us had suscribed..............?
But, can't suscribe to everything! |

| | Re: Wildlife Art Magazine Out of Buisness Thanks so much for the photo's! This redtail is whats known in the falconry world as a "passage" redtail. Meaning it is a first year bird. The way that you can tell is the eye is yellow. All mature redtails have brown eyes also the color is more of a grey brown instead of the rich brown of the mature bird. Also, the breast of the mature bird would have alittle yellow towards the top. These are great photos and I'm really surprised you got so close as they are normally real afraid and jumpy at this age. There's no doubt that this bird has either learned to hunt or scavange really good. Thanks again!! Welcome to Sierra Creek Studios |
