I am happy to report that today was a big improvement over yesterday....
I did spend nearly the whole afternoon carving and maybe even made up for yesterday.
trails.

...now I hope everyone has seen the story about washing machines and flooding...seems not everyone pays attention to the hoses that feed a washing machine water, a 3$ part, but is responsible for a lot of homes being damaged. I can remeber my mother always turning off the faucets after finishing laundry and didn't understand why, until I saw the story. Now I make sure these hoses stay fresh and when we go away the facuets are turned off. Too many a poor soul has come home to monumental floods...

...glad to hear things are better Suzie, sometime life just gets in the way..

My mom does the same thing with the water on the washer...shuts it off when not doing laundry. I turn it off if we are going away for a couple of days. We also got the metal washer hoses....much better and less likely to burst than the plain rubber ones. and life does get in the way of our plans sometimes.

susieq,
I had to chuckle while reading your story. All I could picture in my mind was your husband holding on to the washer/dryer as it moved around like he was in a rodeo. It might make a good subject for a carving. Thanks for sharing your story.

Yeh Susie needs to do a carving....a saddle on it and him riding the washer....too bad it wasn't a stove...could have been "Home on the Range"!

LOL!!! You guys! That would be a hoot.....
Thank heavens that day is fading into just a distant bad memory. I have been busy carving Sunday and today. A carving of hubby trying to hang on to the washer would be a good subject. I probably couldn't do it justice though. Feel free to use the idea yourselves.

Hello,

My wife and son left me at home last year while they went to WallyWorld in Florida with my wifes friend and her daughter. I had to work and could not go. We were out of dishwasher soap, and when I asked my wife waht to use instead, she said to use Dawn. So, I filled the little cup in the dishwasher up with Dawn, and went out to my shop. I came back inside about an hour later, and my kitchen, family room, and most of the living/dining room were covered in soap bubbles about a foot high. What a mess to clean that one up. Of course, my wife really enjoys telling that story!!!
