Default What's that famous quote? "He's back!"

Just a quickie to let anyone who's interested know, that I'm back... I just turned on my machine and logged on for the first time in 6-weeks and I see where I have in excess of 400 emails to wade through but I did notice quite a few "private messages" from WCI and I'll get to them as soon as I can. Thanks to one and all who wrote to me. I apologize for the delay in responding but I refuse to contaminate the peace and quite of our Tennessee mountain cabin with anything more electronic than a CD player and a radio.... thus, no computer and no internet. Just call us old fashion!

It was time to leave God's glorious mountains... this Florida flat lander turns into a popsicle when it gets any colder than 40 degrees outside and for the past week the low never got above 34 degrees with my front porch usually ringing in at a cool 22-24! Now for you Canadians and other hearty souls north of the Mason Dixon that's swimming weather but for us cool tropical breezes and swaying palm trees type of folks that's just more than the body can stand! I was turning shades of blues that even Delta Ceramcoat hasn't developed yet! When a t-shirt, a long sleeve denim shirt, two flannel shirts, and a heavy flannel jacket still don't do the job, it's time to pack it up!

In fact,my truck wasn't too happy about the cold weather either. I didn't even have to drive her home. I just started the engine and it steered itself! Ha! Ha!

Anyway, it's good to be home! Looking forward to chatting with you all real soon!

Best regards!

Eddy

Welcome back Eddy, yeah it is getting to be the time to pack away my shorts and t-shirts, been around 10 degrees at night with the highs in the lower 30's. Although I did have the AC on in the tractor today, got up around 50! degrees today.

Welcome back Eddy-san.....
I just got back from the smokies this week too. We did spend a little time in Cleveland, Tn and then headed over to Murphy for a few days with my folks. It did get a little nippy up there. The morning we left (Tues.) there were snow flurries. I hate to come back to Florida but for now, that's where home is. I am ready for winter though....go away 80 degree weather....shooo!

I hope you got all rested up with your peace and quiet in the mountains. Did you do any carving while you were up there? I guess it's time for you to put in your veggie garden now.

Glad to hear you had a good rest in the mountains. Restorative! Hope you got some carving done too, nothing like carving to relax a person.

Welcome back to civilization, though don't expect everyone to be civilized.

Bob

Hi Eddy, welcome back. I missed you! I didn't know you weren't "plugged in" in Tn. I was really getting worried, not hearing from you.
Isn't it nice to be cared about?

Welcome home Eddy. You and my mother(Tenn) are cut from the same cloth when it comes to the cold.
