Eddie, your close, we use bait runner reels (if you prefer to) with them, the fish can pick up the bait and swim with it, we have rod pods with alarms so that you don't have to stay glued to your rod. In my case I prefer contact with the beast, I wear a belt and have a line tied to my rod, when the fish hits, his insrinct is to run, thus he basically hooks himself, I then back the drag way off so, number one, I don't break the line with a heavy fish, number wo, I like to play them for a while, hell if your gonna throw them back why not enjoy them for a while. We use barbless hooks so as not to harm them, I guess they are pretty tierd after the fight but they can go grab a beer and they're as good as new.
