| What a great place to have a seminar. This building is the new location for the New War Eagle Seminar. As you can see it has great lighting, finished floors, clean area & out of weather / dust, at the door unloading, large parking area, and a lot of space to work in. Easy access off Interstate 540 ( only 8 miles from it ) and some great hotel rates too. A large RV park only 10 minutes away and also RV spaces on the grounds too. A nice outdoor pavilion for after hours get together or extra space for an inside gathering. Fine dining only 8 miles away. Following the seminar is the Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas Show and Competition. Their are also has some great attractions. Crystal Bridges Museum, one of the newest and best venues for American Art. You need 4 hours to see all that is there including extensive out door Sculptures. Home of Wal-Mart Corporate offices and Sam's first store is a museum. Yes and this is Razorback country with the University Of Arkansas. Rogers has two museums, Daisy BB Museum and a heritage Museum. Springdale also has a great one to visit. If you are a Civil War buff, There is the Pea Ridge Battlefield and Museum and Prairie Grove Battlefield and Museum is also a great visit. A modern shopping center in Rogers and a casino in Siloam Springs makes it something for all. Now when you add all this up with some of the best instructors it makes a great place to be in September, 9 to 12, 2012. Brochure is almost ready and Steve will be sending it out soon. I will post it here as soon as available. Check my web site for map, brochure and registration forms when available. War Eagle Seminar 2012 - Fine Woodcarvings If you are a Carver, Woodburner, Basketmaker or just want to learn some new techniques, this is the place to come. We will also have a great tool man, Dallas Deege of The Old Texas Woodcarvers Shop and Chan Schwartz will meet all your wood supply needs. Now Y'all come on down and visit us. Charlie.

Tease on Crystal Bridges Museum. If you visit my blog you can see a few of the pictures from our Saturday visit. I could have even taken pictures of the paintings too, provided you do not use flashes or get closer than 18". Fine Woodcarvings - Blog This is just one of many side trips you can make when you visit Northwest Arkansas and attend the War Eagle Seminar. Like I said earlier we have something for everyone. | Just a update to keep you informed. We have a hotel offering $40.00 room rates, but space is limited and you need to make room reservations early. Have added a Watercolor instructor to the group of instructors. We have a walking staff & indian flute instructor comming on board and he will teach you how to play the flute after you carve it. You will get a walking staff and a flute completed. Hoping to get Kirt Curtis to instruct carving an antler/moose horn too. Just working out the final details, if he can clear his schedule for that week. Also have a oil painting instructor that may join us too. Just keep watching and check the web site for the latest information. http://wareaglewoodcarvingseminar.weebly.com/instructors-page-2.html We are hoping to round out to 20 instructors this week or next. This will finish up our roster for this year. Who knows maybe two weeks next year. This is getting to where the old War Eagle Seminar use to be. Charlie
