Thanks Kenny. I really enjoyed meeting you and Prairie John that are regulars on this board plus others that are lurkers and readers. I am still pumped. In the Open Division, I got a second place ribbon in cane carvings a third place on my stylized dolphins and a third place on my "A bit Tipsy".

I also entered the novice division and got a second place on my stylized dolphins, a second on my mixed group of animals with the hummingbird, worm and a lady bug and a third on my jointed Santa.

Prairie John showed me so much in such a short time about the vast world of carving and what judges look for.

I have been reading thru the years of Chip Chats that were dropped off for free. I told them if they had any left at the end of the show, I would gladly take them. Didn't figure they'd say load em up now!

We blew a tire on the way home on our old motorhome. Not what you want to do after dark. My husband surprised me yesterday with a new(er) and better scrollsaw and band saw. He enjoyed my win almost as much as I did.

Thanks Dan. The ribbons in the Open Division really were AWESOME, since there were quite a few seasoned and master carvers present. I was in awe of many of them. The man that got first in the cane carving has been carving about twenty years longer than I am old. So I was pumped to get the red ribbon.
But I had to ask what the red one meant!

Well Kenny, I guess she's so excited that she has completely missed my post
from Sunday,"Another Trip to Tulsa",or along with bleeding ears,my constant chatter affected her eyes too, although I saw no apparent harm to them while present. Whatever the situation, she has every right to be elated and proud.

Good job, Wanda!

Sorry Prarie John, I did miss your post. We got in early Sunday morning after the flat and then unloaded Sunday and made a roadtrip yesterday to get the saws. Made another one today to get a foredom.

You were an awesome teacher showing me what was needed to improve. You never talked me down but encouraged me to do even better. You should be teaching others. Your way of showing would really be a boost to anyone that would listen. It is nice when someone shows you how to improve instead of what you did WRONG. My hat and future ribbons are tipped to you.

Corey, GO FOR IT! I was so afraid to enter. If my husband hadn't pushed me, I wouldn't have done it. Now I know what I would have missed. I learned so much.
My head is still spinning. I just hope I can apply even 1/10th of the knowledge.
Wanda
