I got 60 linkbacks, whatever they are. Are they something like a halfback or more like a throwback?

Sorry! I was at fault. You shouldn't receive any more emails.

In general...

"LinkBacks allow you to notify another site that you wrote something related to what is written on a specific page. This improves the chances of contributors to this page noticing that you gave them credit for something, or that you improved upon something they wrote. With LinkBacks, websites are interconnected. Think of them as the equivalents of acknowledgments and references at the end of an academic paper, or a chapter in a textbook."

I disabled the feature that emails post owners of incoming link backs.

now i know what they are they sound like a great feature,

but was it a one time fluke that we all got deluged in them for every thread we were subscribed to. or can we expect that for every post someone makes to our subscribed threads if it was turned back on?

Yep one time fluke... In addition, the emails weren't sent because you were subscribed to that particualr thread. If you deleted any subscriptions please feel free to resubscribe to them. Once again, truly sorry for all the emails.

Wow, looks like I've been lucky! I've had "sore backs", "aching backs", "kinked backs", and "twisted backs". I've never taken a "kick back", but have been acused more than once of being a "throwback".
