Default True Story!

This happened to me the other day. A friend of mine took me out for lunch the other day to get me out of the house. We sat down to order and as usual the waitress handed me a menu and my friend told her I couldn't read it so she took it away. This being the case I figured along with my white cane she could figure that I was blind. My friend read me the selections and we ordered. When the food arrived I asked the waitress how my food was arranged on my plate.(I don't know if you know we arrange our food like the dial of a clock) She said what do you mean and I said look at it as if it were a clock. I said do you have a watch she said yes and I said are my potatoes at 6 o'clock or what she said no it's 11:30. I tried my best to keep my composure and not laugh at her and tried to explain it to her again with no luck. I said look at your watch and do you see the 12:00 mark and she said no not for a few minutes. So I finally said let me guess you have a digital watch. My friend sat on ther other side about to wet his pants. He said she just walked away staring at her watch like a monkey doing a math problem.

Ron,
Folks with vision problems have got to have the patients(sp?) of a saint. Were you able to determine if she was blond or otherwise. Great story!
I don't know how your friend held it together. I would have exploded.

ron, i find restraunt workers the funniest employees yet.
a recent trip to mcdonalds, after a few changes of the order the wife paid at the drive through counting out the exact change to the kid, must have been her first day (or hopefully her last) but with the ticket the gal gave my wife back more money than my wife had payed for the meal, i forget the exact amount but it was billed like $8.45 and the gal give my wife back a $10.00,
now heres where things got confusing when my wife told the gal she gave my wife back too much money,. the gal said i know you gave me a $20. and change, and as the line behind us got inpaitent horns started and my wife said your going to be short $10.00 in yout till if you dont take this $10.00 back, the gal got argumentive and the wife said thank you, i guess your right... and we went home....

this is happening more and more to me. and im sure im not loosing money...
dont mcdonalds have the pictures on the keys so kids cant screw up nothing.?

Good one Ron. yep, I would have busted a gut on that one.

SADLY, people do not pay attention to what is around them or just don't pay attention period.

I took the little bride out last night to a favorite Mecican restaurant(not a Tex/MEX one) and ithe cutest waitress (new)came up and took our order. First she brought chips and we waited, then about five minutes later, she came over to take our order, Now she had already taken it so I said we gave our order to you already. The cutest smile and would you please give it to me again, so we did.
But before she took off, I said, we would like to have some salsa to go with the chips. Ok, the seemed to grasp what was going on. She brought our drinks and then came back with the salsa. While waiting on our food, we notice people laughing at her after she left their table. I felt sorry for her as being new, she was having some problems. Well after aboy 25 minutes, our food wasn't there and the place wasn't all that busy. I finally got her attention and she came over . I ask was the food about ready and a blank looked came over her face. Now she is the cutest little thing but then she said, I don't know, I am not the cook.
Now I have a blank looked on my face and people were laughing at us now.
Sooooooooo, I ask her if she could go back and check. Again a blank look on her face.
Now I have been around the black a few times and I am pretty paticent with peple and her being cutest and new, I figure I would be more so. Well, 35 minutes goes by, and again, I motioned her over. By this time several orthers she had waited on was through and left so no more laughter.
Anyways, this cute little thing came over and I said , trying to be polite and all,"we have been waiting long enough and since we knew the owner( his wife cooks) well, I didn't think it took that long even when they are busy".
A blank look came over her face again and she said was we ready to order. Now, I almost chocked on my Tea and said that she had already taken our order twice. She wanteded to know what we ordered and we told her. She had to tickets with the same orders on them but had fail to turn them in. Now I did loose it and ask to see the owner. Diago came out and ask us what was wrong and we told him the story. He called the cute little thing over and told her to apologize to us and that our meal would be free. The cute little thing said and I quote," I don't think I am their waitress" and walked off. Well, After busting a gut on that one I told Diago to not worry about it and we left, and went and got us a hamburger. But before we left, I ask him when the little thing wasn't working and we would be back
But we do have a free meal coming.

That's a good one Kenny. When I did some rehab they instructed me to be careful not to annoy them before I get my food or if they don't want to let me in with my dog go somewhere else and not force my way in. They say you never know what they wil do to your food.

Wanna really kink their twinkie? When the bill at the fast food joint (or anywhwere else I guess) is $5.37, give 'em six bucks and two cents.

It ain't just the kids, either.....seems anyone under 30 was never taught to count change.

Heck, when I was a kid, it was "never trust anyone over 30!" now..........

This may be a good place to pass this on..the illegal aliens in this country are planning a boycott of american goods and services for May 1st....repeat "illegal" aliens ..and this is all backed by communists from all around the world as I understand it....so, in response, an email is going around for all patriots to go shopping on Monday to make up for it.....geez, its tough, but somebody has to do it, so guess I will sacrifice! I will go to the hardware store, hate that!, my wife will go grocery shopping, she will hate that lol, and then we will go out to eat........probably Mexican food ha ha...again my wife will hate that, but you gotta do your part right? I made a joke of this, but whatever your feelings are, these jokers are going to invade our country and tell us what we are going to do or not do? I don't think so, this is not little Juan and Juanita trying to survive, this is an organized plan to infiltrate and control this great country most of us fought for and many are still fighting for! If our moronic politicians can't figure it out, maybe we can!

Illiteracy is on the rise around the world, as well as poor attitudes and general stupidity.

Thsi goes on at different times in history, and there seems to be nothing anybody can do about it. Know that old saying about when its time to railroad, they build railroads? Well, when its time to be stupid, the stupids take over.

Prepare yourself for the new dark ages to come.

Cute story, Ron. My smile for the day.

I agree with the rest, it isn't just young kids or even restaurants, it is everywhere.
Ron, If you ever find a waitress or waiter has done something to the your food, Nail them to the wall. I don't believe in law suits but messing with a person's food, that is down right evil. Close to being a shooting offense as far as I am concern.

Dave, I just got an email explaining that our illegals are going to boycott America because we don't honor thier rights.

Well DUH, they are here illegal and they complain about their rights. Hmmmmmm, load them up on boats and ship them to Sudan and then let them complain there.

ALA, that is a good one, got to remeber that one.
