It's raining!!!!! The weak tropical storm moved over us mid afternoon and it has been raining ever since! Thank God! It will take several slow moving soakers like this to help us get back to normal but it's a start.....and so ironic that today is the first day of hurricane season.

I hope some of the other dry states catch some of this too.
It can rain all weekend, we will be happy campers.

Oh, Susie, you beat me too it.! I can't stop looking at it..It's rained here all nght long with a gentle rain.. and now it's raining harder.. The perfect way for the Lord to answer prayer. Now all those wonderful firemen can go home before the real heat of the summer sets in..The huge fire surely has to be out now . We will all get relief form the smoke . It's wonderful that the fire that has cost millions is out. Mark I know it will be wonderful for you too and I pray that the people in North Ga. will get the rain also...It looks like half of Georgia is getting it now.. My pond is even about full and my neighbors won't have to sell their cows.. Yiiiipeeeeeeee... Charlotte

Yes, it rained all night and well into the morning here. Sun is out now so I guess Barry has moved on. I haven't looked at the rain guage (sp) but what ever we got was wonderful. Time to go unlock the studio and get to work now.

Good grief EdO,
we either are begging for it or begging for it to stop.....sorry you have too much of what we need right now. That is they way it always seems to be.
We got about 3 and a half inches of rain over a span of hours...that is good as it lets the water soak in rather than running off into the ditches that feed it into the Gulf of Mexico here.

Hope you dry out soon.
