[Burnurcomputer]

This morning I was making a nice large breakfast for my family when my Ryan(my husband) called out for me to come to his office. He asked if I smelled that electrical burning smell. I told him that I did and asked what was wong. He said he didn't know and that the computer had turned its self off. That is really odd. He took the cover off of it and said that he was going to spin it back up to get a better idea of what was wrong. Just as he did so pop, pop and flames. Needless to say that he is in a VERY bad mood now! This computer is very expensive and very fast. He has 2 computers in his office that he used for work and now one has bit the dust. It really makes me giggle(hysterically) that my screen name is burnurcomputer. I know how to shop, do e-mail and post on a computer. Its finer points of execution are lost on me. He did crack a asmall smile when I said that I should change my screen name and said darn right! We are very gratefull that we were home today when this happened. I normally am not home right now, I volunteer at the school Monday, Wed., and Friday in my kids classrooms. But today they have off school. My husband works form home and gets called out at all times of day and night. So again we are very grateful that we were home. I love this house and would be wrecked if anything happened to it. It was my grandparents house and my mom and her brothers and sister grew up here. I love this house. Anyway just wanted to share the irony of the computer and the screen name. Yup, you just can't depned on these pesky electronic servants. somebody otta hosswhip'em. That'll learn'em!

Too bad your system fried itself. Any idea why? Bad power supply? Poor ground? Maybe one the cats widdled in or on it?

And don't worry about your screen name. I ought to call myself "tooseditoutthewindow".

hhmmmm now that's twilight zone kinda stuff there..... glad to hear ya'll are ok and yep may wanna look into changing that name to something like...xpectinglotamoney!!!lol maybe then that'll happen

Ryan said that it was due to a voltage regulator for the CPU caught fire. Things are fried but not sure exactly what yet. He understand what that means , I have no clue! It was a small fire due to his quick thinking---- I love my husband, he's very cool even if I don't understand what he's talking about most of the time---but I'm sure that he feels the same way about me.

That's spooky! Perhaps you should change your screen name to something a bit less risky! Just as long as you weren't hurt, computers can be replaced.
