I received an email from Nancy Goff and I hope she doesn't mind me posting it here...hope you don't mind! We being a tight group need to know of anothers problems and pray for them when needed in my opinion. I do think we need a thread that is either listed misc. or maybe better "personal news" I hope I can paste her letter here..so here goes

Hi gang ...
I'm writing to a bunch of you at once because it's a rotten letter. I've been whining for many months about having trouble carving and painting, no memory, trouble speaking, so finally my neurologist ordered an MRI in St. Louis last Thursday. He suspected that I'd had a series of small strokes. Well - I haven't had any strokes. I have a brain tumor.

Sounds like a bad joke, huh? When doc phoned me Thursday night I laughed. I stopped laughing pretty quickly. I don't understand anything. Where the heck did I get a brain tumor?

Anyhow - next step, once I get past elevator music and voice mail, is Barnes Hospital/WashingtonU neuro surgery. I've been accepted as a patient of a Dr. Dacey (that's a
big deal) -- I just don't know WHEN. My local neuro thinks the next step will be a PET scan then needle biopsy, then surgery and radiation. Pure speculation. Impure speculation? At least I have a very small brain so anything they do should be fast and easy.

So I might be disappearing for a while but I shall return. All prayers and positive thoughts appreciated.

Nancy carved Santas...I think I'm going to finish the roughout that Goody sent to me, photograph it (as required <grin>) pack it up, and send it off to Nancy.

And I'll add an Off-topic area to the forum too!

Dave, I received Nancy's e-mail yesterday also, needless to say, it was a shock! I told her if prayers, thoughts and well wishes alone could do it she'd be well already. Now you have sent the request for those very things around the world, !!

For those of you who don't know Nancy, her joking about her small brain and whatever they do being fast and easy....well....the first thing I thought when I read that was "Good thing it's not in your heart, it could be huge!" Nancy is one of the very best and that's what I'm hoping and praying for her! Deborah

I had not heard from Nancy in so long I knew that she wasent feeling good. Let us all pray for her that it all works out very positive for her. I miss her humor and her talent on this board a wonderful lady who has helped so many of us her. Nancy if your reading here positive thoughts are all going your way we all miss you an will be praying for you.

Well thanks for the off topic area, I think we do need it....as for the sending a santa to Nancy...the way she carves...if she got mine..it would make her sick

Thanks Dave for postng Nancy's message.. God Bless you! Yes, I agree so very much that our prayers should go on and on for Nancy.. When Curtis was ill and she posted the messges from me.It Blessed us so much and now I want her to be Blessed also . "All things work together for those who love the Lord." and I knw that Nancy loves him"... so nothing but the best can come from our prayers for Nancy.. like Deborah said.... she has a great big heart so we can send great big prayers for Nancy.. I had been wondering where Nancy was and hate the news. Our prayers go out to Nancy and her family.

On a lighter side, if I sent my Santa, Nancy would have a good laugh for sure.
