| | Re: I think we need a misc. thread! Hello all,
I'm so sorry to hear about Nancy's misfortune. I have missed seeing her postings here, but thought it was just because I haven't gotten online as often this summer.
I thought I had Nancy's address, but cannot find it. Would it be ok, if we post it here so we can all send cards and/or carvings to her to help speed her recovery? We so appreciated being able to communicate with Charlotte and Curtis at a time when they needed us, and perhaps it would help Nancy too. I know that prayers are the most helpful---but nothing wrong with sending a card as a visual reminder that she's in our hearts and prayers.
Whatcha think?

I would think that would be fine, but I think it needs Nancy's ok to put her address up....We have a great group, but there have been a couple of screwballs come in here over the past few years.....so imho this decision should be Nancy's....personally I think its a great idea ....a little moral support in the form of a card can't hurt, especially if the cards are saying they are praying for her.....a big boost!! |

| | Re: I think we need a misc. thread! Hi Donna, I think it would be wonderful to send Nancy cards , as I KNOW she would appreciate and a little carving too.. believe it or not .. I am trying one for her as she sent Curtis one and it really Blessed him so much .. In fact all of the messages caused him to smile and that was wonderful.. She will probably get a great big laugh from my carving but it's the thought that counts and if it makes her have a chuckle , then I have accomplished much.. lol I will contact you about her address... | | Re: I think we need a misc. thread! Hi carving friends.
Bless your hearts!! Your kind words and especially prayers are so very appreciated.
But we don't know what this thing in my head is or where it's going (I think it's a hair ball from these darn cats swarming all over the house) and we won't know for some time so there's no sense in being concerned NOW.
Nobody has to send cards. Nobody has to send carvings. (Send CASH lol).
I'll let you know what's going on when there's something going on. So, please, pretty please, let's let the subject drop.
Much love and many thanks,
Nancy
I tried to send a PM to Bob D asking him to delete this thread but his box is full.
Hey Bob - clean out your box !!! |

| | Re: I think we need a misc. thread! Nancy,
As much as we'd like to be able to send you cards, Nancy, we respect your wishes and won't do anything more at this time. You occupy a big space in our hearts and we all only want what's best for you. Please let us know what you find out at the docs next week and let us know if there is anything any of us can do to help you---other than pray for your speedy and complete recovery. That much we can all do on your behalf.
You're our special carving friend and you've given so much to us--both in the realm of carving and your delightful sense of humor--we can't possibly forget you or not be concerned about your health. We care and we'll include you in our prayers and keep you close to our hearts even though we may be miles apart.
Our love and best wishes.

If you want, I'll close this thread, but I don't want to delete it! People are thinking about you!!!
Bob
BTW, I just realized that sent messages count against your 50 message total! I'll have to talk to Rob when I get back in the office about that! |

| | Re: I think we need a misc. thread! Nancy, nothing will delight us more than if this has been a false alarm, a shadow on the X-ray, something like that and you are perfectly well....or perhaps....it was something and the hundreds upon hundreds of prayers going out in your name, all around the world, have had an effect that I know can happen! Take care, even if we all respect your wishes and don't say it on line, we'll be thinking about you and praying for you! Deborah
P.S. If this has been clever ploy on your part, hoping I'd send the hubby to you....I'm not falling for it! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
