| | Re: Thanks for a Few Things!! Something about being deaf Tony said reminds me of something that happens quite often with me. A couple of weeks ago when Katy and I were christmas shopping we went up to a counter at sears and katy and I we were checking out something I was interested in. I was talking to the clerk and she left to do something and another one came up when I was going to explain what I needed she started talking past me and directly to katy. I just calmly waited and when they finished I asked katy if the clerk thought I was deaf just because I was blind. This happens every so often usually they yell at me like I am deaf so I yell back and inform them that I am not. |

Both of my sons had to have tubes in their ears - the youngest had to have them put in three times, as they "grow out" after about a year or so... The good side was that both boys stopped having the every-six-weeks-ear-infections; the down side was we had to put cotton balls in their ears at bath time, and they couldn't go swimming. The tubes are definitely one of the better modern medical techniques!

Good luck with the tubes, they made a world of difference for my son who had ear infections almost twice a month. He hasn't had any for a year now. Health wise he seems like a totally different kid. |

| | Re: Thanks for a Few Things!! Seems like more and more people and kids are having tubes put in their ears. My daughter had to have them when she was a child but now both her children has had tubes in their ears and the Grandson, the second time. Less ear infections on both youngsters.
Best to you Jilsy. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
