Default Thank you to whoever.....

sent me the information from Good Sam Club!! Even though we're a ways away from actually buying an RV, hubby and I have begun researching them and this club sounds like a very good thing to join!! I wondered in the other posting, where the Good Sam Club was mentioned what it was, now I know! Thank you very much! Deborah

There's another really cool group of RV'ers called MMAP, maybe Mobile Mishionary Aid Projects or something like that. They choose where they go next, work 3 to 6 easy weeks on a good worthwhile project (orphanage wing addition or something) and then off to another project, or home if they want. Great Folks! All retirees, kind of like a mobile Habitat for Humanity. Organizations all over the country apply for their help, and the members of MAPPS choose individually which projects they want to work on. I worked for an organization in Tucson, House of Samuel Childrens Services, for a 1 1/2 years in the early 80's, an adoptive and fostercare service, that used MAPPS every chance they got.

Sounds terrific,Wade! How nice to hear about the caring and giving people out there. The news always seems to dwell on the opposite! Thanks for sharing this information with us, and for being one of the caring people! Deborah</IMG>

Wade, I don't know if it is the same group, but there is one groupbased out of Texas and the are retirees. They help us build a 6,000 sq foot addition on to our church. great people. No cost except lunch and supper. The supper was with the whole congregation. took about three weeks to get it where we could finish up. Then they headed out to another place where they were building a new church. Believe me, these older gentlemen knew how to work.
Great fellowship for sure.
