Tyler has had a rough week in the hospital after his surgery 8 days ago, yesterday his doctors had to go back into his stomach to correct a proceedure that was going bad. This left Tyler pretty depressed, however today his mother took Tyler some of the get well cards from some of his friends and some of you great folks on this forum. A card, my daughter tells me stood out loud and clear and it was from you EDDIE SMILES. You may not be a doctor Eddie but the words of wisdom and great short stories you sent Tyler, perked him up and a big smile,to us you are a Sprital Healer. Tyler thanks you and so do we what a caring person you are and God Bless you and all you folks in our carving community. I think we will be having a new carver in the making. God Bless you and thank you for your prayers and thoughts, hopefully Tyler will get to come home from the hospital this week. Oscar |

Oscar... I'm glad that Tyler enjoyed the card and the stories. He and his family may not feel comfortable writing right away to complete stranger but the offer that I made in the card stands. If Tyler is interested in receiving more stories just let me know. When I was a young lad I was laid up in bed for close to two years with Rheumatic fever and books and stories helped me make it through those times. I know how important it is to read and also to get mail.

Thank you Eddy,Sharon,Dave,Bart and all of you great folks that sent Tyler get well cards. Today the doctors have removed the tubes they inserted in his nose to drain his stomach. His sprits are high and is walking around the hospital floors meeting and cheering other patients. The doctors have n't started feeding him solid food but hopefully they will get him started soon. Yes Eddy Tyler enjoyed your stories and looks forward for more. Tyler's Mom and Dad take turns staying with Tyler in room it's hard on them to make the drive from Middletown,RI to Providence as one of them has to stay home with Tyler's baby sister. However their carring love for Tyler makes it all worth while. thank all of you and may God Bless all of you as he has us. Oscar |
