Default Re: Texas Ranch House-Tonight on PBS

Hey thomp, Hate to tell ya, some women do wear boxer shorts now days, And I suspect some men wear silk ones with ribbons.

At least we know one thing about this show. they bring to much 21 century s in to the show which should not be.

Reminds me of a story, Oh No, not again? Yeper, again.
The was thishere rancher living by hisself and he was getting powerful lonely out their in the back woods as he had been there for several years cutting trees to open up the land for cattle and other livestock.

He had heard about this new thing called mail order brides and so he upped and order him one.

On the day he was to go to town to pick up his new mail ordered bride he hitched up the old mule, put on himself the finest toilet water he had and being all shaven and pretty smell'n he got in the wagon and headed fer town.

On arrival he saw the gull durnedest prettiest gal standing ther ewith her belonging in her hand so he just a figure dat be her for sure.

Well once he got infront of her he was think'n many things in his mind and was given her the once over with his eyes. He was a think'n she sore is apretty thang.

Well they be hittin it off nicely and she gets in the wagon and he heads it and her back to his home.
Just out side of town, the old mule ups and stops dead in the raod. He cracks the whip on the Mule's rump and said "that's once, now get along". The mule starts walking again.

Then, about half ways home, that dang mule ups and stops dead in the road again. Another crack of the whip on the mule's rump and the man says, "that's twice , now get".

Now all this time the pretty little thang was a wonder'n about this guy on how mean he was acting towards the mule.
They be about three quarters of the way home when the mule stops yet a agin. Well the man pulls out his revolver and shots the mule dead and says, "That be the third time mule".

Well, now the pretty little thang was really upset with the man and started yelling at him and cursing him and when she shuts up, the man said , "that's once, now shut up"!

Me thinks it may have been my grand parents of my father's side as granny never did say anything wrong towards my grandpappy!

Definitely a lack of respect all around and a ranch divide.
A ranch isn't a ranch with out the ranch hands. Something the lady overlooked. Nope, definitely wasn't worth watching but manage 3 parts of it.
Now for an Indian show! See how bad they mess that one up, for sure.
