Default Tell me how to say pfeil.

Subject pretty much says it all. How do you pronounce the word pfeil? feel? puh-feel? file? ratatouille?

I believe it is pronounced "File" - but would not be surprised to see someone correct me!

"File" is the pronounciation and I think it translates "arrow" thus the symbol of an arrow below the "sweep number." Some just call them "Swiss Made" so either way people know what you are talking about.

i am native german, and swiss people speak german too, so i can assure you it is pronounced like "file" and translates as donald said to "arrow"

It is pronounced file, and it does translate as "arrow"
The Pfeil tools are marked with an arrow.

Here is a site that will actually pronounce words in German.
