Default TAG - Your It!

A recent posting made me think about how easy it is to get 'stuck' reading only one thread area or only threads by people who carve the way we carve.

Yet one of the strongest assests of this message board to me is the diversity of ideas, topics, themes and styles of carvings and carvers.

So, to break out of the winter doldrums and out of old habits let's play "Tag - Your It".

You remember that game from childhood. All the kids in the neighborhood would gather in someone's backyard. One person was appointed 'It' then everyone ran around in circles, screaming and laughing, until 'It' tagged someone with a touch. The touched person now became 'It' and the fun started all over.

'It' tags another carver by posting one of their past threads here. Have fun browsing through all the past threads Tell us why you chose the carver and the thread. Then post to their thread "You've been tagged by ..fill in your name.. to bring it back up to the front of the message board so all of us can read it. You might want to PM the person you tagged to let them know

The new 'It" then goes and tags another carver, then another, then another.

If you don't know who to tag look at the bottom of the main page to the message board to see who is online. You can click on their name to see their profile. On their profile page you can see what threads they have started.

Please, try to break out of old habits by tagging someone or some area of carving that you don't normally do.

Ok ... since I started the game so it's my backyard I will start as the 'It".

I tag Thomp and his great thread Old Buzzard! I loved that Thomp showed us his progress as he worked the carving. I really liked the links back to where he got the idea and pattern so we could all join in. And I really liked that someone else posted their version of the Old Buzzard to it.

I am not a caricature carver but Thomp's thread and his carving really really temps me to give it a more devoted effort.

Great thread Thomp ... TAG! Your It.
