My local Woodcraft store has a whole rack of the stuff for making pens. Here's the list on their web site:

If your looking for quick and cheap. I bought a gross of just plain old stick pens from costco sorta like the old bic pens. Pule the tip and the ink tube out of the barrell. Drill a hole in the blank to accept the diameter of the pen tip as deep as the tube in the carving blank and have fun. I havent done any of these in years but maybe I can find oen of the ones that I done.

Mark I did one, it was from a kit I bought from woodcraft. It comes with a couple of predrilled blanks and Bic pen inserts. These are a lot of fun to do. You might try woodcraft on line I'm sure they'd have it.

The Woodcraft store near me has a huge supply of pen-making supplies. I've never made one, but looking at their supply I got inspired, I think I'll be trying a few.

I do a lot of pen turning, one of my favorite sites is Arizona Silhouette. The site is just a tad "challenging" to order from, but the quality and service is EXCELLENT!

And look here for all kinds of links/info/assistance:
