Default Spell Checker!!!!

Our kind, considerate and ever hard working Admin here on the forum (Rob) has added a new feature to our forum. A Spell Checker!!!! Thank you, Rob.

If you look in the right hand side of the tool bar in the posting menu you will see a new icon (ABC). When you click on that it will open a new window to a website were you can download and install this little wonder directly to your computer's browser program.

It took as 1 1/2 minutes total ... at least 1 minute of that time was me reading the websites instructions ... to download, install and being using this delightful, wondrous program that will, at least for me, save us from many embarrassing moments here of the forum.

Thank you Rob!

Susan

Hey, Bob

Look in the Quick area just below this posting. In the gray menu border look along the tool bar area to our right.

Click the ABC icon and it will take you through the download steps.

I'm in Explore this morning. I'll go sign out and return in FireFox

OK ... I'm using FireFox and there is NO abc icon. So it must be just for Explorer ... I can live with that.

LOL the only time I used a spell checker, it didn't like the way I worded something, wasn't misspelled, just the wording........so I spent about 10 minutes trying to word it so the spell checker liked it and it changed the whole meaning of the sentence.......so I gleefully killed the spell checker ha ha...

Okay. I clicked it, got the dialog box, clicked ok. Got and "dink-a-link" sound but nothing downloaded. hmmm.

Nancy, You may need to check your settings in Explorer. Make sure that you allows a new window to open and maybe if you allow active x to run. I shut down both Zone Alarm and Window Washers as well whenever I am downloading.

Ho-Hi, this one lets you 'Change' the spelling or 'Ignore' the spelling. And you have to click the abc icon to even make it work. So we can still have a lot of fun purposefully misspelling words and are able to actually not fall over our typing fingers ...
