Default Southwest Idaho area???

My husband and I have decided to move/retire to Idaho. He has family there and I have no problem living where ever I am, so I am willing. I have never been there but will be flying up there on the 11th to look around. His family is in Nampa. Since we are animal people we want to find something in some of the smaller town places on the outskirts. Finding anything at a reasonal price that has an acre with it is tough. Everything seems to be postage stamp lots even though out in the country. I know there is the Boise Woodcarvers Guild, so I am wondering if anyone on this board lives in the area? If so any info they might be willing to share on the areas around there I would love to hear about. Carving clubs? Anything! Also, I have 3 acres, solar powered living in So. CA for sale

Nancy,
You might look at www.realtor.com or www.landandfarm.com . There are lots of small farms/farmettes in the area, from Payette to Nampa. Good growing season, lots of fruit trees, a nice place to be! Close enough to fishing, the mountains, shopping, good airport, etc. I think you'll love it there!
I heard of a carving club in Payette, but don't know anything about it.
Good luck!
Wade
