In order to try and stay politically correct I'm bringing up this topic in the off topic section but I suppose it could just as well fit into the general carving section as well.
By now anyone who has watched TV has seen the new commercial for the Sonics Bathroom Scrubber Brush. And while watching it I couldn't help but wonder if it might not be the ultimate answer to a woodcarver's fuzzes problems.
I say this because I've already experimented with it's older brother, the Oral-B electric toothbrush. A number of years ago when it came time to buy a new electric toothbrush I found myself with an old one and rather than just trash it I super glued a sanding disk onto the bristles and put it to a basswood carving. It had potential but it just didn't have the "ooofff" to keep turning once any kind of pressure was applied.
Now I see that the toilet cleaning industry has solved that problem. They claim that this new super duper Sonics Scrubber can handle any kind of dried or caked on dirt. I mean they even show it removing calcium deposits around bathroom and kitchen fixtures. So I guess, with a little super glue and a collection of sanding disks for $19.95 any carver can now have their own 100% guaranteed fuzzes removal tool!
Now if I can just talk the wife into buying one for our bathroom!
