Default Sonics Bathroom Scrubber Brush

In order to try and stay politically correct I'm bringing up this topic in the off topic section but I suppose it could just as well fit into the general carving section as well.

By now anyone who has watched TV has seen the new commercial for the Sonics Bathroom Scrubber Brush. And while watching it I couldn't help but wonder if it might not be the ultimate answer to a woodcarver's fuzzes problems.

I say this because I've already experimented with it's older brother, the Oral-B electric toothbrush. A number of years ago when it came time to buy a new electric toothbrush I found myself with an old one and rather than just trash it I super glued a sanding disk onto the bristles and put it to a basswood carving. It had potential but it just didn't have the "ooofff" to keep turning once any kind of pressure was applied.

Now I see that the toilet cleaning industry has solved that problem. They claim that this new super duper Sonics Scrubber can handle any kind of dried or caked on dirt. I mean they even show it removing calcium deposits around bathroom and kitchen fixtures. So I guess, with a little super glue and a collection of sanding disks for $19.95 any carver can now have their own 100% guaranteed fuzzes removal tool!

Now if I can just talk the wife into buying one for our bathroom!

Eddy,

$19.00 is half of a real good dremel, you cant clean a toliet with one, but you sure can get rid of fuzzies..with them...

Interesting idea, actually. Now you won't lose any production time while 'on the pot'.

eddy,

i guess its no worst than a story rick in seattle told about a nose hair remover that wound up in herold enslow tool box, couple years back, do a search on ricks posts its better told by him anyway....

only thing bout fuzzy removal, i use the dremel puff scrubb thingys 2 for 4
$ bucks, they dont last long, but they get the fuzzies, and the detail so then its a battle of balance fuzzies or detail...
