Default Smoke Signals

I'm setting here watching Bat Masterson on the Western Channel and he and a lady riding in the stage have been marooned after the robbers held them up, shot the driver and ran off the horses! To get out of this mess Bat quickly built a fire and sent a few smoke signals and a group of Native Americans almost immediately arrived on scene. Considering the time between the first puff and the Indian's arrival I'd say he was operating at about 56Kps!! Not too bad! There really must be some truth to the rumor that the Redskins were using WiFi long before the White Eye showed up!

Gene Barry aka Bat Masterson in the series gave me a piece of gum when I was 3 years old We were checking out Burbank, CA (approx. 1956) because my father was thinking of transferring his job from Fall river, MA to CA. We went into a store for something and that's where we saw him. He thought I was cute or something, haha.

Yes, you have discovered a little known truth. The 1st Nations Peoples of North America had internet long before computers were invented.

Seriously, though, do you really think they were limited to dialup?
