| | Shaycee link Below is a link to Shaycee's picture taken after a singing benefit late November.
A local Christian singer Chris Hester was invited to give a concert in honor of Shaycee. That is him with her. He devoted all proceeds(totally) to her and her family for medical expenses. I don't know what they recieved and it isn't none of my business but I do know that they sold 50 of Chris Hester's CDs and all that went to Shaycee's family. God truely blessed Shaycee that night.
Thank you all for your prayers, act of kindness to this little girl. She is a jewell and aways has a smile on her face. Now a days, the smile isn't as big and the eyes don't shine as much but still a beautifull smiling girl with faith. ![001[1]3424](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/001[1]3424.gif) ly, she is on a high doseage of steroids to keep her inmune system up. So she does look a little puffy but again, a beautiful child.
I am asking for continued prayers for Shaycee and her family.

Carp, Love the relief and the saying. Great depth to your letters. Great carving.
Bill K, Outstanding chip carving. Love the background color also. That is one thing I have not tried is chip carving. Way outside my comfort zone for sure.
I have been working on the Eagle head cane and have a flag carved on one side. Glad it isn't a commission piece as I am have a heck of a time staying with it. A commission cottonwood bark of an angel looking down on a shepard for a lady in our church. Well she doesn't know about it but her husband ask me to carve her something for Christmas. Several different tree ornaments for a little 8 year old girl who has lymphomia)sp) cancer. Darling little girl and one heck of a family. My granddaughter is her best friend and has been since preschool. The little girl lost her hair do to Chemo treatments, so, my darling GD had her MOM to b\shave her head bald so Shaycee wouldn't be the only girl without hair. Now that is friendship and only eight. But then, I did not expect anything less from my G D. She is special. Yep, she is for sure.
Eough of the blabber. Y'll have a nice week and if I don't talk to y'll all. Thankgiving.
My Thanksgiving is my Lord and Savior, family, and my fantastic GD."

Re: Christmas Ornament Swap Time!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another year has gone by and not participating in the Christmas Ornament swap. My bad luck. However, The business I am selling at, keeps running out of the ones I have carved and they just order 25 more. Got 15 done and the serious part is, I have carved several sets for an auction on the little 8 year old cancer girl. Shaycee Bowman has one more treatment but the last one was in her spine and she is so tired she sleeps all night and most of the day. hasn't been to school in 2 weeks but her mother said she still has a smile on her face and has faith she we recover. the latest is, on her last test, they did not see any more cancer cells. Praise the LORD. Anyways, this old geezer has carved her some ornaments and they have been delieverd. her best friend( my Granddaughter's hair has been cut again so Shaycee would not fell out of place at school, when she comes back. It is hard on Grandpa, as she had such lovely hair but am proud of her friendship to Shaycee and how grown up she is in her attitude. Dang, to have that attitude at my age. As I type this, it gets harder to see for the wetness in my eyes. Must have something in them.
A Favor from you all, A prayer for Shaycee and her family for a speedy recovery,
Thank you
Ken Sanders

| | Re: Shaycee link Shaycee goes in today for hopefully her last Chemo Treatment. The last one took its toll on her as she is really tired and just sleeps. They ran some test on her and they BELIEVE they have gotten the cancer. Praise the LORD.
Notice her when talking to her father Saturday, a SMILE. What a girl! |
