Great story Keoma ...... you are a lucky girl to have such nice friends like that!

Books have long inspired me to attempt new styles and forms of carving, like many of our members I expect. For years , it was my only method of learning. I'd haunt our local library to borrow all they had on the subject of carving and learn from what was available. The Internet, it has added a tool for expanding our education and exposing us to new styles of carving and carvers. What a wonderful tool it is. The magazine too, WCI, another great tool for the carver wanting to learn!

Enjoy the books, they look like great ones.

I've got those books in my library. My Mom has the Cardinal from the Realistic Birds book which was the first bird I ever carved.

I am going to be offering up the bird books on a swap thread that I saw. I am keeping the sunset book...I so love it! can't wait to dive into some of the projects...I have my eye on the wooden dustpan...Anyone interested in the bird ones...gimme a holler!
