Default Saw Stop is unreal

There is an unbelievable video about an invention to stop a spinning table saw from cutting your finger. You have to see this video to believe it.
Check it out.

Notice he didn't use his index finger, though...he used his middle finger. He wasn't going to risk the most-used finger!

I think his giving the saw the "finger" in this case was justified. Neat....I want one on my saw!

Ihave a friend that is a blind woodworker and has one and loves it. The first time I stuck my finger in there I was scared to death that it would be the only time it wouldn't work but it did.

LOL I agree Al, most used finger around here too ha ha ..especially in traffic!

I have seen these before, would love to have it on my tablesaw, but they aren't cheap, and when its jammed, you have to pay a good price for another part, blade etc.....cheaper than a finger tho...

The problem is that this isn't available as an upgrade. You need to buy a whole new table saw. And I bet it ain't cheap!!
