Default Santa On the Pig, final chapter.......

I tried to find my old thread on this subject but couldn't remember for sure which section I had posted it in. Here is the final chapter on the subject.

I had posted my misfortune at having a nice carving returned from the gallery unsold and smashed to bits. Bob_D had asked permission to put a short article in the magazine regarding this experience and published a couple of photos to go with it. UPS did finally pay a decent amount of money to let me keep it and repair it.

Thanks to the article in the magazine, a gallery in Denver, owned by a Santa carver, went to my website and contacted me to say that when the piece was repaired, he might be interested in buying it. I had all of last week off from my job, so spent that time finishing up the repair/paint/antiquing and remounting of the piece to the base. I took a bunch of photos and sent them to the interested party, along with a price. He is sending a check out today. So.....my well traveled Santa will be making one last voyage....out to Colorado. Many thanks to WCI for this happy ending.
