Default It's About Time

I think it is about time that Fox Chapel do us all a big favor and publish a compilation of the Lynn O. Doughty projects that he has been so kind to put on this message board. I started to print out the Camp Cook and would do the boots but that does not seem to work out. I would gladly pay for a book of his designs and all of the information and pictures that he has done so far. Now I hear that there will be more projects to come. He ought to get something for his efforts and Fox would have a great book to sell.

Whoa.......I'm humbled by your interest in my work and your willingness to purchase a book about my designs or pieces. However, I'm not doing this with the expectation of being compensated in any way other than the thanks I get. Being retired I have plenty of time to do these little projects and I'm not starving. There are plenty of books out there already.

I have no objection to your copying the photos or descriptions I give on my Blog or elsewhere. All I ask is that you use them strictly for your own personal use. Should you wish to use any of them for a carving group or club a request for prior approval would be appreciated.

Again, thanks for your interest in my work.

I've asked before if they could at least put a seperate forum for that very thing. For those that want to share tuturials to put them in one place so we dont have to go searching up and down forums looking for them.. or the lost post of an explanation or an extra tip on those tuturials that got moved down the post line seperately. Or those that have done the project can post their finished carving under that post. I for one wont be able to work on the cook until this fall. Where will all the posts be by then?

And you folks who are sharing your projects.. Thank you! I hope some day I'll be good enough to do the same thing!

Dave(Hi Ho), is partly right. My pocket book hasn't healed yet but the little Bride and I are about healed.

My son got married Friday to a very beautiful and sweet girl and her parents decided not to finance their part after the kids planned and implemented their plan. Anyways, to make a short story out of a long one, The little bride's and my pocket book took a little beating and My wonderfull little bride made all of the decoration for the Wedding, rehearsal dinner and reception dinner. Well she had help from my wanderfull Daughter and sister in law, and niece and nephew. Without them, we couldn't have accomplished it.

Seems my son's new in laws waited till the week before to tell the kids they were not going to pay for anything.
I can tell you one thing, My new daughter is a beautifull girl and are proud to have her in the family. Now the other side, well, they will need something done one of these days,,,,,,,,, And I will probably help them. That is the way I am.

So Ron, Yep, I am healing with God's help, for without him, I am nothing.

Now, I will be away again for a while as I have taken on a job refurbishing cabinets and doors for a conveineant store here locally . I bid on it 3 weeks ago and bid high as I really did not want to do the project but low and behold, Dang if I didn't get it.
Later and y'll, have a safe and happy time carving.

Well, Hi Ho my friend, Don't get me started.

Peace and God's Blessings.
The ragged edged Ken

In-laws are funny that way. Some are deadbeats, others are finest-kind.

Oh well.

I'd agree with a seperate forum just for tutorials as well, or at least make them 'stickies' so they are easier to find.
