Default Re: Who's going to Dayton?

Well, I went to the Dayton Show again. And again I was in a continuous state of amazement. I told some buddies that I would take a whole bunch of photos so they could see the show too. Promised myself that I would seek out and meet some of you all. But once I got there I was in such a state of wonderment that all my plans went out the window. Very few photos, and only a few folks did I meet personally. Maybe next year we can come up with a way to find out whos who and really meet. An idea that might work is for one of us who has a table there kinda serves as a check in place; with a sign in message sheet. Great show again. I left with some basswood, a new knife that will greatly improve my carving, brass screw eyes for ornaments, and some new wimp wrap. I did get to spend some time talking with Jim OH.

This was my second year there with a table and it amazes me how people walk by tables and their eyes shine like a kid in a candy store. Getting ideas and really sparking that fire in them to go carve. I myself had to stock-up on supplies for this winter. It's nice to see what you are getting in person instead of looking at a catalog.
Hi CarverRog,

Sorry I didn,t get to talk to you but very nice setup. That is exactly what I felt like especially when checking out all the wood. Yes it was nice seeing and feeling the wood before you purchased it, the tools too. Nice to feel them in your hand if they actually fit your hand. Hopefully we will get to meet next year and chat that will be nice. Well I will look forward to next year. Till then.....

Blessings,
Tina
