| | Ron's work on the web. Working with Ron has been a great joy, but we have had so many things going on that some of what we have wanted to do has been taking a bit longer than we would have liked.
Athough not complete we now have some of Ron's work on the web for him. We will be adding his new works and maintaining the site for him to show his work.
To see his carvings and the patterns he uses , come to www.westvirginiawoodarts.com go to hand carvings and you can see his work , click on the images to get close ups. These are high res. photos but really display his talent.
Ron, no music but I hope your mom and friends like the way it's displayed .

Susan
Soory 'bout that! Thanks for posting this one, Garry. It's great to see that Ron is up and running with his work on the web. I know that Ron will have his carvings up for sale, will you be handling that part of his work? So often I see beautiful hand carved piece with unreasonably low low low prices ... Ron's work should be in the $1000 range in my opinion just based on the quality of the carving then a little more because of Ron's unique situation of being blind ... again, just my opinion.
Again Susan

| | Re: Ron's work on the web. Susan,
Yes, Two of the pieces are sold. The Eagle sold for $900.00 and the church sold for $1500.00. My agreement with Ron at this time, is pretty simple, I charge him nothing for selling. I am very aware of the time he puts into his work and would not expect anything less than an honest rate for his carvings. Ron receives all of the monies which goes to get him items that helps him with life. Book readers , vet bills and other such things.
Now Ron is going to get upset with me but so everyone knows, the monies for the church was going to a bookreader, but when this comp crashed over half of that went to fix his comp. Then a few high vet bills and well he is still saving for the bookreader.
When Ron gets things a little better arranged then him and I will adjust things a bit, so that a percentage of the sales can be used to purchase wood for his patterns.

| | Re: Ron's work on the web. Garry, Very nice site. And yes, I did bookmark it. Look forward to seeing more of the neat stuff you are doing. You might want to consider putting the sizes on Rons work, as well as others. But then maybe you did and I just missed it...Been doin that a lot lately. Tom H |

| | Re: Ron's work on the web. Garry Katy came by last night after we had talked and she looked at the web site. She said it looked great but wanted to know where Lou"s picture was. She said that she liked the way they are arranged with the pattern and then the finished carving. She said it would be nice if the size was posted so people would know what size they are. Tell Dale thanks he did a great job.
