Default Ron Question

Ron , I need to know which Braille Code you use. 6 or 8

And which style would be better to use,

I understand there are 4 types used would the unified code be the best to use?

Thanks

Six cell unified is the best and most popular to use and is the only one I taught myself. With todays technology braille is becomming a thing of the past unfortunately. It is actually an option when you go to a rehab or school for the blind. Today most everything is marked in tactile (Raised letter) or symbol. This iis the start of the phase out of braille. I know this is a kind of long winded answer to your question but it might be of some interest.
Ron

Ok , Ron, thanks.

I really don't see it as being long winded what I have been amazed at is the complete lack of consistancy in the entire braille writings.

Ron, it will be an easy conversion for either. It is just a font and then I can type it onto the area. I was more worried about getting the dots too small. But as a Font I can set the size.

But I make no promise of no spelling errors

I am breaking everthing down , like you do your patterns. Then will do one in a wood base then in a series of overlay layers for you to transfer the pattern as well so that you will have the pattern to use for years and will be able to modify it , by just leaving out sections.

This was basically Susan's idea. I might be modifing it a little , but basically I am building you a 3-d pattern , that you should be able to change and modify. Then each level will be identified with what is on it in braille.
The laser can cut the pattern and the do the lettering .

If it works , I can keep you in patterns for a long time to come.
