Nice drawings! I too like the drawing of the roses. Here is one of the few pencil drawings I have done. Its a poor picture of it from when it was half done. It actually is the second pencil drawing I have done. Quite a relaxing thing to try and do.

| | Re: right side of the brain Hey Mark - I am late on this thread but WOW - your drawings are wonderful. I wish I could draw one 10th as well as that. Gotta get started on the book.
As for which of your drawing I like the best - well it HAS to be the Roses. Love the deep meaning & symbolism of each stage of life built in, the glass was captured wonderfully, and the softness of the petals is fantastic.
However, I have to say what REALLY made it pop for me . . .
was those beautiful chisels in the background of the photo. Pfeils if I'm not mistaken. The placement and arrangement is really gorgeous. True works of art those eh? Just STUNNING!!! mate! Keep up the awesome work - of all artistic varieties. |

| | Re: right side of the brain Got you now Juhani,,great work,,I'm assuming a self portrait??looks really good.Keep at it,,lots of fun ,insightful ( teaches your eye to look for line and form) and relaxing, unlike carving wood,,here you can just erase a mistake.
Chuckt,,man,, you have sharp eyes,,didn't even realize they were there,,but you're right,,'bout the only chisels I use,all full size, they are great,,it's fun to just sit back and watch what they can do. |

| | Re: right side of the brain Reading this post just about gave me a freakin' heart attack!! I was so engrossed in these pictures that I didn't see my daughter's enormous "Dora the Explorer" balloon creep up on me.
One minute I'm looking at the pictures, next thing I'm screaming at the top of my lungs cuz all I see out of the corner of my eye is a huge face staring at me!
On that note, nice work Marky-Mark...now I gotta go pass-out!

| | Re: right side of the brain Sure Mark! Come on over - I'll have their diapers all ready for you!!
Don't worry, once you get those grandbabies, you'll have more Dora, Oobi, Backyardigans, Wonder Pets, etc. in your head than you'll know what to do with!
