Get some real vitamins with icy cold V-8 - that's delicious.
And don't forget grape juice and orange juice for fruit's vitamins.
I think you could handle baked skinless chicken breasts well chopped-up added to those mashed potatoes too.
I'll keep working on this ......
Best wishes. |

Hope you are healing quickly. As one who can sympathize with the situation here's a few tips:
Spaghetti with a really good tasting sauce (don't be afraid to use a knife--it still taste the same--the spaghetti that is)
Homemade soups with veggies--mash the veggies in the bowl and cut the meat in small pieces. Use ground meat instead of regular cuts.
STUFFED CABBAGE
1 med. head cabbage
2 sm. cans tomato sauce
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1 cup rice, cooked
1 package sauerkraut
Salt & pepper
Core cabbage, put it in water for several hours until leaves start to fall off. Prepare rice in boiling water. Mix beef, egg, and rice, salt and pepper to suit. Mix well. Roll mixture inside cabbage leaves. Line bottom of large pot with the thicker outer leaves of cabbage before placing stuffed cabbage rolls in pot. Layer in rolls in pot with sauerkraut and 1/3 can tomato sauce on top. Finish with rolls of cabbage on top layer. Add 2 cans of water. Pour remaining tomato sauce over all. Cover pot and cook over low heat for 3 hours.
STUFFED PEPPERS--ENOUGH FOR TWO
4 peppers
3/4 lb ground beef
1 small onion chopped
1/2 cup pre-cooked rice
Can of stewed tomatoes
Can tomato sauce
Cut off tops of green peppers; remove seeds. Brown meat and onions. Drain off grease. Add chopped stewed tomatoes, rice, and salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer for about 5 minutes. Stuff peppers and stand upright in baking pan. Top with tomato sauce thinned a little with water. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until "almost" fork tender or until hot.
Bake your favorite cake or soft baked goods and have a slice with ice cold milk.
Ice cream.
I'm getting hungry!!!! See ya!!! |

| | Re: Recipes wanted . . . Humitas (traditional Chilean Recipe) 8 ears fresh corn, with husks salt 2 leafs of basil black pepper 3 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon sugar 1 onion, chopped 1/4 cup milk, (if needed) 1 tomato, peeled and chopped (optional) 2 eggs, beaten - Cut corn off the cobs, saving cobs and husks.
- Take the largest husks, put into a pan of boiling water to soften.
- Heat the butter in a pan, add the onion, and cook until soft.
- Add the tomato, salt and pepper, and sugar and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Add the corn, milk and eggs and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove the husks from the water and dry.
- Place 3 tablespoons of the corn mixture on the center of each husk.
- Fold the sides of the husks over to form a small package (using two leaves if needed), tie with kitchen string.
- Place cobs in the bottom of the pot of boiling water and place the humitas on top of the cobs.
- Cover pot and steam for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot.
It is a savoury dish, but some people (me included) like to sprinkle it with sugar, give it a try.
If you wanted something different, here you have

MEAT LOAF !!! Your recipe for meat loaf ... fix that and serve with a nice baked potato you mash up with some good cheese and have some well cooked canned green beans.
A twice baked potato with lots of cheese and chopped onion -- maybe some green pepper?? A couple mushrooms? All well cooked, of course. |

Make a Graham wafer pie crust and line a pie plate with it.
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cub butter
20 graham wafers crushed up
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
mix and press into pan to form a curst. Save 1/4 of mixture to sprink on top.
Next make the filling:
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter
2 cups icing sugar
2 eggs
Combine and mix till creamy,
then melt 2 squares of semi-sweet chocolate, and fold into the mixture until well belended and pour the chocolate looking mixture into the pie crust.
Sprinkle over the remaining crust on top of the chocolate and stick it in the fridge until firm. About 6 hours. It's called "Dream Squares" for good reason, they taste like something you'd dream about. Soft, sweet, and heavenly. Enjoy.

| | Re: Recipes wanted . . . Instant oatmeal, I have this for breakfast about every other day. 1 cup Quaker Oats instant oatmeal, some chopped walnuts and raisins, half a banana, add hot water, microwave for one minute. Add a pat of butter, a spoonful of honey. Delicious, like eating warm ice cream |

Put the following in a blender:
2 cups ice cream - whatever flavor you like
1/2 container of egg substitute - equivalent of one egg, but it's pastuerized so no salmonella worries.
1 banana, peeled
Whirl until smooth, and drink. Tastes great, has protein and lots of phosphorus.
