Default question - copyright

Is it a violation of copyright law to post a picture from a book. Not a pattern . Thanks in advance for a reply

If the books says "No part of this book can be distributed electronically..." then yes, it will break copyright.

Robert,
Kitaye is correct. Even if it doesn't have the statement she mentioned, it is still a violation of their copyright to post a copyrighted image
if you don't have permission.

Thanks for the reply. In Gary Bates book was a picture of a humorous picture of a bear setting a trap will a wad of bills . Tittled Tourist Trap I thought I would share but I guess not.

The best way to do that is to tell everyone what book and what page it is on...

Thanks by the way for asking! It's a tough subject to wrap your mind around!
