I have a question. What in the world are you talking about where you say Joe Schmo is not a member of any public groups? It says the same on everybodies profile I have looked at. Inquiring minds want to know.

That is if you use Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, etc.

They put that in in case people want to chat, since the forum doesn't supprot live chat.

Does that make sense?

Bob D,
while we are explaining things on the message board what does "buddy List" do for you , and what is it's function, being old and not the sharpest knife in the drawer, I have to have someone explain it to me. I put some people on the " buddy List " and I see nothing happing different than when I did not have them o the list.
Just old Jim

It lets you find them easier if you want to Private Message them. Click on the "Quick Links" link above and it will give you the option of opening your Buddy List. Then you can quickly find your buddies to PM them.

If you look at "Who's Online" people on your Buddy List are marked with a +

Geezers????? Well I never!!!!

Actually, My little 4 year old grandson and I visit our local gas station convenient store when I pick him up from Preschool. Now this is where the OLD geezers hang out mornings and afternoons. Gunny Sack is it's name and they have the best donuts and rolls according to the GS. Well, They do, I have hasd a couple here and there, ya know what I mean?
Anyways, One day when he knew Mommy was busy and Papa was going to pick him up and we always go to the Gunny Sack and he gets his milk and chocolate donut with prinkles on it and Papa gets whatever looks good, they all look good, and we were going to go, he told his teacher That Papa and him was going to the Gunny Sack and hang out cause we were Gunny Sack Geezers. Where in the heck did he pick that up. Hmmmm, Must been from the Nana(little Bride).

Timely question Doug, Rick and I were talking this morning via Private Messages. Not really a great way to hold a chat, but not everyone has or uses ICQ, MSN or Yahoo Instant Messagers. I use them all the time and find them great. I've also used a chat associated with a message board like this.....for members to go into and chat when they see their friends online, I think it was a book series discussion group, it got a fair amount of use. Might be something worth considering.
