Default Prescott Wood Bee Carvers Display

Hi All:

Just had to crow a bit....ok a lot!

Today May 1st is the beginning of a 1 month long display of our clubs carvings at the Prescott, Arizona Public Library. We are the Prescott Wood Bee Carvers of Prescott, Arizona

This is a yearly display where our club can show carvings we have created thoughout the year. Our members work like you all in all different woods, subjects and styles.

I hope you enjoy seeing our carving group.

Kathy

Sorry about the glass glare, this is only 1/2 of this huge case. We get 30 feet of it for our display. The other half is shared by another display.

I so would love to be able to walk that line and look at every single carving in there.....*deep sigh*

I'm just curious, with this display showing for a month have you, as a club, had inquiries or new carvers join because of seeing this display?

M.

Hi Dave and Marci, thank you both for stopping by the display. Marci it's like they say a picture doesn't do it justice. I'm really proud of our club and their carving expertis. Yes, we have had interested people in wanting to learn how to carve. We always say 'We'll teach you.'
Thank you, again'

That looks like a great display. A great opportunity for some positive publicity for your club. It would be interesting to know if you get any new members inspired by the display.

Any chance on getting some closer shots?

Hi Tom, thank you for stopping by and for your nice comments. Last year our display received very favorable comments and one new member. I have every confidance that we'll have the same reception. Hopefully a new member or two would be nice.
I'll see what I can do about some closer shots.
Thanks again,
Kathy

Hi Tony, thank you, I get to do the design/layout work. I have a helper who does the ladder and hammer work. He has the hard job I get to tell him where I want things in the case. Isn't that just like a woman...tee hee
It's generally always a party, we begin at 8am before the library opens to the public, and are still setting up the display for several hours afterwards. Everyone who brings their carvings for the display want to stick around and make sure I do it right. Mostly harrassment is the theme of the day. LOL
Thanks for stopping by appreciate it very much.

Kathy,

That's one fine display. Normally I'd be driving to California now. I'd have to stop and check it out. But this spring cannot make the trip.
