Gosh Kenny, sounds like you are having a time too.. Be careful cutting those trees..they are sure dangerous..Sorry about your redwood fence..
My son is know as one of the best tree surgeons in town but early one morning he was taking a dead pine down.. The weather was in the twenties and it fell on a power line so they had to call power trucks and people were with out power for awhile.." twenty degrees." I felt so sorry for those people and for him too.. I don't think he has taken anymore trees down in twenty degree weather..Yes, I am a little afraid that we might have too much rain also when it finally comes.. At least the fires are not as bad around here now. Take care . Charlotte

I'm in Duncan, Ken, about 30 miles east of Lawton and about 80 miles south and slightly west of OKC on hwy 81.

Man, be careful with that big tree. I'll bet you are really unhappy about that expensive redwood fence. Tearing up a chain link fence is bad enough but redwood...................

We are going to Branson next week (with a stop at Lambert's in Springfield, I gotta try the hog jowls) so I hope the frog stranglers and gully washers stay away. I think they're calling for rain every day this week until Friday. When I was cleaning up outside this afternoon I realized my driveway (gravel) is pretty near destroyed. Gonna have to call someone in during July/August to get it repaired/rebuilt.

You going to the Tulsa show in July?

Yes sir, I am planning on the July Tulsa carving show. It is at a different location this year. Guess they change location every thre or four years.
Got some good friends in Duncan. I'll send a PM to you.

I will admit the redwood fence has been up for at least 10 years and have replace panels in it, and had plans on replaceing with privatcy fense next year but guess It will be this year.Sure didn't want to loose it. But no matter how well planned one is, , things changes in a hurry. Kind of funny, when the other limb hit the one that did the damage, we just looked at each other.Still light drizzle out now so doubt any wood cutting tomorrow.
