Daddio,Mike that was funny!!! I couldnt carry a tune in a bushel basket and three buckets! I can even play the radio!! I like the point you made here!! Ohhh I can afford to buy the hight dollar paints and supplies but too me thats wasting and since I was so poor as a boy,I never waste anything!

You are my kind man, great thinker with your head full of good ideas as thick as Ms mud but smarter than a high dollar gentleman from Wall street in NY city also. NEW YORK CITY.........get a rope!! LOL

Thanks my olde Ms friend, for your very neat comments here! Forrest

Hey, Forrest....didn't see this post till just now....Thank you for shedding a light on your personal system there, my friend! I've really never checked out Walmart's paints, but I am gonna have to do that! I buy the Delta Ceramco, but only when I get them on sale for .99...LOL I also buy cheap brushes and I like the REAL small ones. If I can't find 'em, I use the trusty razor blade to make what I want....LOL For me, I use the glass tops on candles. They're perfect to mix my paints or for water, etc. Since I am a candle freak, I have a never-ending supply. I still have cleanup, though. I like your way better!!! LOL Never thought to use slick catalogs, etc. I see it works just great for you! You are a man of many talents, my friend.....none the least of which is resourceful beyond most! Thanks for sharing all this....Bonnie

Bonnie,Ive used Delta also at times.Dont burn any candles around here, when they are burning, its takes oxygen to make something burn and just the nice sweet smell along gets to me,I use to like them. Shoot yea,its neat knowing just how resourcefull you are also.Kinda figured you might be.Thanks for sharing your painting supplies that you use and your ideas here. Slanging more paint,I wish I could sing! Your friend,Forrest

Forrest thanks for the reminder, sometimes we read about some folks telling us to buy the best paints you can afford and we seem to think,"WOW" that's why my carvings or painting didn't look right. Then a bright thought or reminder like yours brings out another bright thought,"Keep it Simple Stupid",
thanks for the reminder.
Oscar

Well,Simplyme....Im gald you liked that saying!! LOL But even now with bad eye slight,I can dot a flys eye ball, course flies have big eyes!! I have one brush I paint with to dot anything and high light really small areas and that bush has 3 hairs in it,it takes least 3 hairs in a bush to hold paint,Ive tried 2 hairs but it wont hold paint. Im gald you liked my saying,I didnt mean for it to be funny just the truth. But hey, thats ok with me too! Whew, I am a fan of Wally World Apple brand paint as well. I buy my brushes there as well. However, I had not thought about modifying them. Guess next time I am there I will get anther set to trim to my liking and thanks for the "3 hair" tip!!
