| | Our Friend Ron Davidson Hi gang,
I just spoke with Ron this afternoon we were just both going to sit down and enjoy the game. I have some really sad news from Ron. The doctors have told him that what little sight he has left will be gone within the next few months. We talked in depth about eye transplants and everything and evidently they cant replace the optic nerve damage as a result of his accident. Is he down? Hell no he is really enthused about a new carving he is working on. I wont steal his thunder I will let him post and you will see it then. This man has more positive attitude than most people and even though he knows his eye sight will soon be gone completly he talks only positive thoughts of how he intends to deal with it. He says he has known for many years that it will eventually happen and he will go on to bigger and better things. He is a volunteer at the Institute of the Blind to teach his skills to other visually impaired people. He is not disabled and will never be. He says people who are disabled cant do things he can with practice do anything. Wow what a positive attitude. BTW I have his permission to let you know of his demise. He would like from now on if you could explain when you are posting what you are doing and if not practicle a private email detailing what the carving looks like so he can picture it in his mind. As for me I am still in my carving slump but with an attitude like Ron has I am working my way out of it.

| | Re: Our Friend Ron Davidson I'm so sorry to hear this news, but appreciate you bringing it to our attention Colin. I'll continue to keep Ron in my prayers.
It does seem the more his sight fails, the more he inspires us. Hearing something like this, and Ron's attitude in dealing with it, certainly does put things in perspective in my own life!
God bless you, Ron! We certainly are all blessed to know you! Deborah |

| | Re: Our Friend Ron Davidson Thank you Colin for passing that along. Ron has had his share of ups and downs with his sight, just getting some hope, and then to lose it again. I am glad to hear that he isn't letting it keep him down or from his carving. Life can be tough, I'm told that there is a reason for everything that the good Lord does, it just isn't that easy to understand it sometimes.

| | Re: Our Friend Ron Davidson Thanks colin for letting us know about Ron.. I don't care what anyone says, I will still believe with my little mustrard seed of faith that can move mountains, that something new and wonderful can come to bring back that optic nerve...I just feel like great stides are getting ready to open up in medicine..It almost seems like the hand writing on the wall.We will all keep paying for the Lord to CAUSE some medical miracle, and in the meantime Ron, you are making a way for something the Lord wants you to do in a might way! and has picked you to do it.. so great things are going for you as there are too many of us prayng for you... " All things work for good to those who love the Lord." That comes straight from God himself.. Charlotte | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
